THE BOARD OF EDUCATION WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING ON TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 2010 AT 6:15 TO 6:45. THE MEETING WILL OPEN AT 6:15PM AND WILL ADJOURN TO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR A PERSONNEL MATTER. THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING WILL BE AT 7PM. Do you wanna experience a classic blast from the past? Well in the first weekend of March (March 5 & 6), you can do just that! The Corinth Middle/High School Drama Club proudly presents their production “Grease.” This year’s production will be directed by Larry Nichols and the music once again being conducted by Mrs. Barbro Aldridge. This year’s cast will include Brandon Gibson, Phoebe Wells, Shayne Peris, Fiona Wohlfarth and a number of other gifted actors. Take a trip down memory lane and come see these students sing some favorites including, “Summer Nights”, "We Go Together” and the one and only “Grease Lightning”! They’ll also have some dancing that is sure to bring some of us back to those good ol’ days with the annual High School Hops! This cast is sure to get you up and out of your seats and doing the Hand Jive faster that you can say A Wop Bop A Loo Bop a Wop Bam Boom! The production will be at 7:00pm on March 5 and 6 and at 2:30pm on March 7. We hope to see you there! You may request the following information: whether the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction; whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; the baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree; and whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications. Requests for information should be sent, in writing, to the building principal where your child attends school. 11th Annual Dollars for Scholars Dance Marathon Corinth Students in Grades 8-12 can participate. Each student will have raised $50 in pledges in order to participate. 7th Grade students are invited to dance form 7:00pm to 11:00pm. parents, family members and community are encouraged to come support the dancers Friday night form 7-11pm. The one and only Corinth Teachers Band will perform at 8:00pm . Dance Marathon Alumni, please come enjoy us again! We’d love to have you! Grant NewsSylvan Dell publishing has awarded the Corinth Elementary School a one year grant to access ebooks using computers from home and school. Parents, teachers and students now have unlimited access to 45 picture books with the following features: Auto-flip and Read, 3D page effects, English and Spanish test and audio, and resources for each title. Please contact the elementary library to obtain the Corinth site code. Corinth Hall of Fame The “Corinth Hall of Fame” is a program to honor Corinth graduates who have distinguished themselves beyond the walls of Corinth High School. This program is intended to foster a positive school climate by recognizing the successes and achievements of Corinth graduates and provide role models for our students. This program has recognized many distinguished Corinth graduates. A commemorative plaque in honor of each inductee is placed on a wall located near the main office in the high school. If you would like to nominate a Corinth graduate for this year’s “Hall of Fame” , applications are available in the high school office or you may access the application on our website, www.corinthcsd.com . The deadline for submitting an application is March 5, 2010. All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee for final approval.
